How do I register for a workshop?

What is a workshop?

Student learning workshops are generally one-hour sessions, led by a Learning Skills adviser, on a specific topic. These are practical sessions, teaching you about specific aspects of tertiary learning and literacy and giving you opportunities to practice and receive feedback. Workshop topics include:

  • Essay writing
  • Exam preparation
  • Time and study management
  • Preparation for a particular assignment
  • Communicating within your discipline
  • Academic integrity
  • Punctuation and grammar
  • Oral presentation skills
  • English language
  • Numeracy skills

Registration

Details are available below. However, be aware that space is limited in some workshops, and there may not be room for you if you have not signed up.

Hobart

If the workshop you would like to attend requires registration, Please visit Student Learning, Level 1, Morris Miller Library, Sandy Bay campus. There will be a list for you to put your name on.

Launceston

To register for a workshop, Visit the Student Centre at the Newham campus.

Cradle Coast

To register for a workshop, Visit reception at the Cradle Coast campus.
