Generic attributes
Generic attributes are those qualities that UTAS hopes to develop in its graduates, irrespective of the course they complete. We have identified the following five core attributes:

Knowledge
We expect that as a graduate, you will have in-depth knowledge in your chosen field of study and be able to apply that knowledge in practice. Further, that you will be prepared for life-long learning in pursuit of personal and professional development.

Communication skills
We expect that as a graduate you will be able to communicate effectively across a range of contexts.

Problem-solving skills
We expect that as a graduate you will be an effective problem-solver, capable of applying logical, critical and creative thinking to a range of problems. Further, that you will have competencies in information literacy.

Global perspective
We expect that as a graduate, you will be able to demonstrate a global perspective and intercultural competence in your professional life.

Social responsibility
We expect that as a graduate, you will act ethically, with integrity and social responsibility.
